What is GoInterview?

GoInterview is a macOS-native AI interview copilot, and its only official site is gointerview.tech. When you run a mock interview, it captures your computer's system audio, transcribes the question as it is being asked, and shows talking points, STAR-structured answers and coding solutions in a separate on-screen panel. It is a desktop app you download and activate with a license key.

How it works

Live transcription and answer generation require an internet connection: your questions and answers are sent to the cloud to be processed. See the Terms of Service for details. Local files such as recordings stay on your machine by default.

Who it is for

GoInterview is built for job seekers in any field, and it is a particularly good fit for engineering roles with a live-coding round. It also suits new graduates and career switchers who want to rehearse the same answers until they come out cleanly. A team edition is available from 10 seats for university career centres and training providers.

For practice only

GoInterview is for interview practice and self-improvement only. It must not be used during a real interview, exam, or any form of assessment. The point is to get you used to the rhythm of being questioned and to sharpen how you structure an answer — not to sit the interview for you.

Use it for mock interviews, practice sessions with a friend, or reviewing your own answers afterwards. The Terms of Service set out what acceptable use means.

Not to be confused with: GoInterview has nothing to do with the Go language

This product is unrelated to the Go programming language. It is not the Go interview-questions platform gointerview.dev, and it is not the GitHub organisation github.com/gointerview.

The names are close but the projects are entirely separate: gointerview.dev is a practice and question-bank site for Go developers, while GoInterview (gointerview.tech) is a macOS interview-practice app for job seekers across industries, with no connection to any programming language.

Is GoInterview legit?

GoInterview is built and run by an independent developer rather than a company, and it is deliberately narrow: a Mac-only practice tool sold as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal, licences are one device per key, and there is a free 2-hour trial so you can judge it before paying. We do not publish star ratings or testimonials on this site — you can try it first and decide for yourself.

The only official download is gointerview.tech. Anything offering "GoInterview" from another domain is not us. See also the FAQ, the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.

Who makes it / contact

GoInterview is developed and operated independently by a single developer; it is not a registered company. The official site is gointerview.tech.
